2008 - 2009
Second Year 2008-2009
This our second year providing soccer training in the west side of the Phoenix, Arizona
metro area. We are constantly improving our existing programs while
adding new programs and opportunities for boy and girls ages 5 - 15.
The season began in June 2008 with a one week soccer trip to Portugal, where BSA
players partcipated in 4 international tournaments. This was our second trip to Portugal.
During June, July and August we held two one week long Summer Day Camps in
addition to the annual evening Summer Camp.
In July 2008, we began The Saturday Academy for boys and girls 5 - 10 years.
In August we added three more teams. We now have two Flight 1 Open League teams and two
developmental teams. Each team participates in at least five U.S. tournaments, various
3 v 3 tournaments and the two Flight 1 teams will have opportunity for international
travel with tournaments in Portugal and Mexico.
BSA has partnerships with other sports and soccer organizations in Arizona, such
as Velocity Sports Performance, and continues to seek ways to advance soccer in Arizona.
